GRADES OF CELLULITE

Cellulite is a common skin condition. Nearly every woman has problems with a lumpy appearance of the skin. According to statistics, over 90 per cent of all women and 10 per cent of men suffer from cellulite during their lifetime. For some of them it is just a slight inconvenience because skin texture is not changed much, for others it is a huge problem as their skin is seriously dimpled. There are also women who do not look closely at their skin (especially at the backside) and suddenly find out seriously dimpled skin in the mirror. Unattractive thighs, hips and buttocks (even arms) make them feel embarrassed so it is crucial to notice cellulite early enough to react as effectively as it is possible.

WHAT TYPE OF CELLULITE DO I HAVE?

How can we be sure that cellulite does not attack? How can we recognize the sneaky enemy? It is simple, you only have to do the pinch test. It takes just a moment and quickly evaluates your skin condition. You don’t have pay for the diagnosis, you don’t have to show your thighs, buttocks and hips. Just take a few centimeters of skin between your fingers and pinch gently to see wrinkles. When you pinch your skin and don’t see any lumps, it means there is no visible cellulite. Such condition is called the zero stage. Repeat such a test once a month to be sure that your skin is still in good condition. Sooner or later problems will appear but the most important thing is to be ready and act immediately.

DIAGNOSE THREE GRADES OF CELLULITE

There are three visible grades of cellulite. They are easily recognizable so you won’t make a mistake. Grade 1 is a mild stage (called ‘minor’ as well) when an orange peel effect appears. When you carry out the pinch test, your skin looks like real orange peel. Such skin condition is very common. Even very young people (especially women) suffer from lumpy skin structure. Grade 2 is a moderate stage (sometimes named ‘intermediate’) in which your skin gains a cottage cheese appearance and from time to time cellulite is noticeable without pinching. Lumps are bigger and your skin looks as if there was real cottage cheese underneath. Grade 3 is a severe one (often known as ‘advanced’) – cellulite is visible all the time and skin texture resembles mattress structure. This grade includes all visible signs of previous stages with the addition of deep rough lumps and bumps noticeable all the time.

HOW TO FIGHT CELLULITE?

Whatever the stage of your cellulite, it’s time to get rid of it for good. Medical and home treatment is available, you just have to decide that you want to fight lumpy skin using all possible methods. Each cellulite grade requires different therapy and each woman needs a personal approach. However, there are some solutions all women can decide on. If you expect long-term effects, stop smoking, eat healthy food, drink mineral water and start to lead an active life. But, above all, choose and undergo the proper treatment. And don’t forget to be regular.
